Who Is Amber-Layne?

Amber-Layne was born in Atlanta, Georgia but was raised on the beautiful island of New Providence, The Bahamas. She has been singing publicly from the tender age of 6 years old and has enjoyed sharing the love of Jesus through her gift of song. She’s grown up in a very supportive, musical and faith-based family that has raised her with the belief that “with God all things are possible”. She has grown up singing in church and has always had a deep-rooted love for God that has birthed so much passion in her life. She has grown up loving all forms of art and has always been a creative. She has always loved expressing herself through fashion, makeup, photography, and music.

Amber-Layne’s life is living proof of Proverbs 18:16: “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” From primary school to high school, she became more devoted to her gift of singing. Amber-Layne has sung consistently in her school’s programs and services, community events, church events and local singing competitions in Nassau, Bahamas. In high school, Queen’s College, she was entrusted with the envied role of Deputy Head girl and Choir President and grew in her leadership capacity.

 Amber-Layne had begun singing in live and professional studio recordings where her love for singing professionally grew. She was enthralled by the beauty and complexity of recording in studios and vocal arranging. Amber-Layne recorded her first music video at age 15 (Known- Tauren Wells) that was shot by Why Christ Media Group (Leo Newman), audio engineered by Milton Dean, and musically accompanied by Travis Rolle. Since then, she was featured on Transparent Talk with Dr. Felicia Archer, made it to the top 5 finalists of 242Untapped, a televised Bahamian Reality Gospel Music Competition, participated and won Local Bahamian Ministry of Health “Whatcha Cookin?” jingle competition, alongside her incredibly talented peers at Queen’s College, won the “Gospel Duet” category while representing Queen’s College, for 3 consecutive years in National Arts Festival Competition alongside a lifelong friend, Charzia Curtis, sang BGVS for world-renowned artists such as Sherwin Gardner, recorded a Christmas album with Queen’s College- “Christmas Cheer” produced by Freddie Seymour and completed other independent musical projects.

     Now Amber-Layne is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance degree at Oral Robert’s University in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she is learning to fully cultivate her craft. She has been a faithful member of Souls A’Fire, the official traveling Neo-Gospel Band of Oral Roberts University. She has also worked as a hired photographer for Worship Center at Oral Robert’s University for the past 2 years where she honed her skills in photography and Public Relations. Currently, she is a part of Going Hard For Christ Church as she is off to school and is happily serving on the Worship Team. While at home she enjoys serving and worshipping at her home church LIFE Worship Center.

       On September 22nd, 2023, Amber-Layne released her first worship single entitled My Soul Will Sing. Amber-Layne has been pleased to have multi-award-winning Sherwin Gardner produce this song and has been privileged to have this song reach the hearts of so many people as they enter into worship by reflecting on how good He really is. Amber was soon after, on Friday, October 13th, 2023 featured on the weekend cover of The Tribune Newspaper in The Bahamas as she was able to share her heart and invite readers into the unique experience she had writing this song.

     Amber-Layne is a holy spirit-filled, down-to-earth young lady who was born to love and inspire those around her through art in its various forms, her kindness, and or through a simple smile. She seeks to show the character and goodness of God through her life so that the world may be drawn to Him.
